The primary responsibility of the Security Guard is to greet visitors and maintain a safe environment. 
The Security Guard will assist the company in maintaining an orderly working environment by keeping event facilities safe and problem-free. 

Job Description:

Ensures the facility is provided with high quality security services to protect people and property
Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons
Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises
Builds, improves and maintains effective relationships with both client employees and guests
Greets guests and employees in a cheerful and welcoming manner
Answers questions and assists guests and employees
Patrols the facility on foot or in a vehicle
Answers phones
Monitors closed circuit television systems and alarms
Reports safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing
Handles security issues or emergency situations appropriately
Fully embraces security/safety training programs to enhance their ability to advance in their careers
Participates in industry specific security/safety training programs to offer our clients the best trained officers at their sites
Meets and continues to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Armed Security Officers and specific protective device and weapons qualifications
Works in environments and under conditions that require carrying authorized weapons and ammunition, the use of protective gear and devices, and awareness of personal safety and safety of others
Maintains awareness and familiarity with the site-specific operations performance manual and post orders

The primary responsibility of the Security Guard is to greet visitors and maintain a safe environment. The Security Guard will assist the company in maintaining an orderly working environment by keeping event facilities safe and problem-free.

Your Qualifications:

  • You have a positive attitude and strong customer service and leadership skills.
  • You remain detail oriented while treating guests with respect.
  • You stay cool under pressure and in emergency situations, taking the lead when appropriate.
  • Your experience covers two or more years in a fast-paced security screening position.
  • You have one or more years of security supervisory experience within the transportation or vacation industry – this is not required but a PLUS.
  • You remain vigilant while being “on the move”, active, or mobile, for long periods of time; standing, walking for hours on end is something you welcome.
  • You effectively handle and prioritize multiple competing assignments.
  • Your specialty is de-escalating situations before they become unpleasant or hostile.
  • You successfully interact with a diverse population while functioning as a team player.
  • You have good listening skills and are able to assess situations quickly and effectively.
  • You have strong observation and written documentation skills.
  • You have a valid security license.
  • You possess a current Florida State Driver's license with a clean record.
  • You have and can show legal permission to work in the United States.
  • You have a High School Diploma and preferably some college.
  • You are a minimum of 21 years old.
  • You are able to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • We will make all attempts to provide a predictable work schedule, but the ability to pick up last minute shifts is a PLUS.
